This is terrible. Looks like the wreckage went in around Palestine, Texas which is in the east part of the state.

was wondering if you had some info that we couldn't get. these missions seem to happen exactly like they are supposed to or they are a catastrophe. any delay in the process seems to indicate the worst.

Dallas cable tv news reports debris is scattered across lots of central east texas. This is a fairly rural part of the state, but sherrifs in multi counties are scrambling. Lots of reports of the smell of burning rubber and some debris.

CNN says it's not likely because of the high altitude at that point. (200,000 ft)

Department of Public Saftey is saying large debris pieces are being found in the area of Nachdoches, Texas---north of Paliestine. Again, a very rural part of the state.

That is good news, at least no other loss of life than the 7 astronauts.
