My mom has made multiple cases of homemade wine for the wedding in August, complete with custom labels. An old family friend has given me two cases of very good wine as an early wedding gift.
I want my mom's wine on the tables at the wedding; can I drink this other stuff in the meantime?

Mom made it specifically for the wedding. Your family friend called it a "wedding gift". I'd save the friends wine for anniversaries maybe?

I'm sure no one would miss a bottle of two of the good stuff between now and August.... If it was a wedding gift, who's to say what you should do with it other than share with your Riff Raff buddies....

Find out where she got the custom labels.

How do you know that it's a very good wine?

Well, of course your mom's wine should be on the tables at the reception. That's why she has the custom labels on them, right?
Can you drink the other stuff in the meantime? The point has already been made: if those two cases are meant as a wedding gift, it's probably a good idea to wait until you're actually married because, well...I hope that nothing goes wrong and that you have a wonderful wedding and an even more wonderful marriage but if something terrible should happen and the wedding doesn't happen, returning six bottles of wine (out of 24) might not be a really cool thing to do.
Okay, you say it's a very good wine? Have you had this wine? Is it ready to drink now? If it's a white, well, more than likely you can enjoy it soon but if it's a red and it can stand some aging, cellar it. If it's Chateau Petrus, either use it for punch or, hey, I'll take it off of your hands. Seriously, if it's a wine that can hold up to several years of aging, like a bordeau, a cabernet sauvignon, or a really good burgundy, cellar them! That way, each year on your anniversary you can open a bottle (or two!) and celebrate in fine fashion. Yeah, that's the ticket...the gift that keeps on giving!

I know it's very good wine because the guy who gave it to me runs the winery. I have a case of Mission Hill Vintner's Select Cabernet Shiraz and a case of Mission Hill Vintner's Select Semillon Chardonnay. Like I said, it's VERY good wine.
Tof and I have been together a decade; I think we'll make it to the altar!
My mom couldn't afford to make wine but she did. That makes her wine more special to me than this.

Well, first ensure that it's drinkable now. If it's an "early" wedding gift, they gave it to you ahead of time, so I say enjoy it. But make sure you get married (not that you wouldn't).
