I cried during my last haircut before I moved in Kentucky. We both cried. Macy was FABULOUS. And then it took me a year to find someone here. A year of mullets. Hair is a very very sensitive issue...

after I shave my head in the shower, instead of tipping myself, I usually treat myself to a liberal amount of skincare lotion. I figure I'm worth it. :rolleye-smilie:

If men's styles were popular/cute on women, there wouldn't be this issue. I'm still holding out for the GI Jane/Sinead look. It will come. And I will be all over it.

It really doesn't have to do with the men's styles vs. women's styles. It has everything to do with crying over changing hairdressers. 99.99% of guys won't express that type of emotion over such a trivial issue.

We may have sensitive topics. But rest assured, hair is not one of them. Mr. Green

Be a trendsetter Cheryl! Don't wait for pop culture to dictate what is cool or not. Go for that look before it becomes popular again and beat the rush in Houston! Wink Wink Wink

Men's styles! I go in to get my hair cut, and it doesn't matter what I tell 'em (all the cutters are wimmen, for the record) - they cut it the way they want, and it looks like hell. It's the only argument for shaving it all off that makes sense. Evil or Very Mad

ummm, the other argument for shaving it all is "I can't grow it on top anyway"

I can't use that one.

Maybe I can talk LC into cutting it. She could use the clippings to make a sweater or somethin'. Razz

I give my guy $20 bucks on top of a $55 hair cut plus $5 to the shampoo person...this is still cheaper than where I used to go..plus I love how he does my hair.

My husband has had a really hard time finding a good barber. He has a pretty basic military fade and no one can seem to do it right except for this girl who works out of the hair cuttery at the university where we met.

Yeah, it has everything to do with men's v. women's. If it was as easy for women as "trim it" like most guys tell their 'barber' or whatever, if women weren't judged so much on their looks (and our hair being a big part of that), it wouldn't be such an ordeal.

and no, I won't brave the gi jane first. I'm a trend follower, not a trend setter.
