I'm going out to buy Jake a "special" stocking. Years ago, when Lib and Will were my only two children, MIL got them each a ginormous stocking. Then Jake came along, and we never did find him a huge one like Lib and Will had, so I pulled rank and got them all a regular stocking. This really upset MIL because I guess there are "privileges" of being born when you're born. Whatever. Anyhoo, the only stockings we can find this year are the ginormous ones and one smaller stocking. And really, I'm glad, because Lib and Will should be using the ones their grandmother gave them, I'm all for that, but I'm also for Jake not feeling like he has this piddly little one that is plain, and his siblings stocking's are ornate and cool.

Where am I going to find a large, decorated stocking? Libby's has a huge cat on it, and Will's has a winter scene, kids throwing snowballs under trees or some such thing. So I want something that isn't necessarily ho-ho-ho.

Target?

Is there a Frank's or Michael's craft store near you? They may have some....I think even our Kmart had some big ones last year but it's chancing it to see what is left. You may have to hit...gasp....The Mall....
