Well, WI has had it's full of each candidate, vp candidate, Laura Bush....I lost count....but I know Bush and Kerry at least 3 times, Edwards and Cheney 2 times, and Laura......does Teresa have something against cheese?
I'm wondering where she is when John's been in WI, because apparently not with him.

she questions laura bush's validation and experience...seems her validation comes solely from her $800 million dollar net worth. i'm wondering how anyone worth that much money even has an idea of "what life is about".
Prior to Heinz Kerry's apology, Karen Hughes (search), an adviser to President Bush, criticized Heinz Kerry's remarks as "indicative of an unfortunate mindset that seeks to divide women based on who works at home and who works outside the home."
i feel an unstoppable urge to sayscrew her. but then again, i must work at home. i've never had a real job either.

I was just wondering if she's busy elsewhere (states), because WI has seen so much of everyone else involved many times, or if she doesn't come across very well and staying in the background, or if her mere appearance would make people question what Heinz corp. does versus what JK says he'll stop doing for big corp?

As if the "shove it", "idiot", and "scumbag" regulars in her public vocabulary haven't already done that for her. Are we ready for a potty mouth first-lady?

Well, we're apparently ready for a potty-mouth vice president, who has a much bigger role than the First Lady.

well, I know that I maybe a minority, but I like it when people use expressive language. I find a negative comment directed at a person worse. I don't mind TH-K expressive nature at all. The comment meant to lash out at Laura was bad and I think it did bite her butt. The political machine was no doubt on it seconds after it fell out of her mouth.

Why does anyone care where she is? She's not running for office. The First Lady, sadly, is merely an accessory to the man in charge. Ms. H-K is a strong-willed, opinionated, feisty lady who probably realizes she'll do her husband more harm than good to constantly be by his side. It's his race - let him run it.

The only way I could keep from saying something stupid or using "expressive" language during the time frame of a campaign would be to lock myself in a closet until it was over.
Good thing Mr Poky will never be running for president.

Totally agree. Don't care who the first lady is. Personally I perfer THK to Laura Bush who I think is more puppet that doesn't speak her mind. This is just my opinion.

But do you really want the First Lady to be publically disagreeing with the President and thus undermining what his leadership is?

Why not? She's her own person, with her own mind. The fact that they disagree shows that at least politics is discussed between them - that's encouraging. I don't think that in disagreeing with the President the First Lady undermines his leadership; it shows she's not a sheep who blindly follows him simply because society expects her to.

True, but it would also project a poor image of leadership. "Mr. President, you can't even convince your wife that your plan is a good idea. Why should we go along with it?" I think, and this goes for either gender, that you can argue politics with your spouse all you want in private (assuming that your spouse is a political official) but when your spouse is making public policy you go along with it. Maybe you had a tempering influence in private, but you (or I, or Laura Bush, or T Kerry) should support the spouse in public. It provides a greater opportunity for that legislation to pass and be supported (i don't think the spouse's support helps, but i do think that public disapproval from the spouse can hurt).
