The guy's a nominee for doofus of the year. Call from a plane, with another passenger's phone, that he's being taken against his will by Al-Queda. Expect nothing to happen.
Hope the Government sends a nice hefty bill for services and time this a**-pony used up. Followed by the airline. Followed by the passengers.
It is delightful to see the Chicago media deal with this one. "Someone from Chicago (gasp!) did something (gasp! again) stupid. Of course he's not a native - someone from Chicago would not do something like that." So then they follow this up with "Please don't think we're anti-Arab because of the way we cover this." The media here has never been able to handle negative stories on this town. It's a hoot.
