Ok guys i am in the process of loosing weight before it gets warm again. First i want to improve my running and im hoping loosing weight will improve it. I also want to feel/look better also. I am 6'2'' with a medium build. I have just been on a diet maybe 2-3 weeks. I woke up this morning and i weighed 187. My question is what do you think would be a good weight goal? Maybe 177 or do you think that is to much or maybe should i go further? Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
ncage

I started out at 210, I'm 6' even and i'm around 168 and want to get to 159. It's been 1 year right now and my goal is either a 50k or a 50 miler this spring. Good luck.

Your weight seems OK. I'm 5'10 and 182#, run about 40 miles per week, ran a marathon last year, my goal is to run a sub 20" 5K this summer.

As far as weight, it is true your performance increases as loose weight--I would just try to eat right and run a lot and let your weight end up at whatever is best for you and your workouts.
