I seem to be going through a little bit of a 'p*ss on you, I'm slacking off' thing right now, and the funny thing is, so are a lot of the people I know. I'm wondering if it's seasonal/weather related/hormonal. Are you a ray of sunshine or a bench warmer at the moment?

Bench. Warmer.
In oh so many ways. I'm in a total rut with absolutely everything.
And I'm waiting for a job offer so I can quit my current one. Maybe once that happens, I'll perk up.

There is only one word to describe my mental state lately. That word is "fragile".

Fragile doesn't quite suit me at the moment. I think I passed fragile and went straight to 'auto pilot'. Or maybe the economy cycle. Not sure.

It was fragile.
Then pissed off..
Then bitter.
Now it's just "I don't give a F" ala Eminem style.

I was good, psyched for my race tomorrow.
Then I lost my car key, and I was bad.
Then someone found my car key, and I was good.
Then I found out they're predicting rain for tomorrow's race, and I was bad.
I found a $20 in my jacket pocket, and I was good.
I then discovered that I had no more time to get lunch due to searching so long for the key, and I was bad.
Then I found a bag of croutons I could eat for lunch, and I was good.....
Ups and downs galore. And all this in the last hour!

9 more days of school left, today was senior skip day, so I have very few students, it's the weekend, and did I mention, 9 more days of school left????
I'm definitely in the slacking mode. I'm on cruise control, and not planning on changing til August.

Out of curiousity, how does one slack as a teacher? I mean, I had some pretty sucky teachers, but they were always sucky, not just at the end of school.
Not that you're a sucky teacher.
