I put a layer of spinach and a layer of cream cheese in mine. And forty pounds of garlic.

Shannon:
My lasagna filling is what makes it right:
4 eggs per pond of ricotta cheese, lots of shredded mozzarella, Parmesan Cheese to taste, parsley, pepper, some salt to taste. Remember there's salt in most of the ingredients you have put in there already. Mix well. For Florentine lasagna add about 1/2 package of chopped spinach. For a "heartier" filling, fry up some Italian sausage meat, drain and add to the cheese mix. For BEST taste leave the filling overnight in the fridge.
As you lay down each layer of the cheese mixture sprinkle mozzarella, before adding some sauce and another layer of pasta.
That's my recipe handed down from dad to me. Sauce recipe is from my little old Italian aunts. I would reveal the recipe to you but then I'd have to make you "dissappear".

It's special only because I don't make it very often. Maybe once every four months.

There's no ricotta cheese in it.
We used sliced mozzarella instead of grated.
I only use about 20 lbs of garlic
