I've learned:
- it's very frustrating to not be able to talk at all
- sometimes the best thing you can say to someone in pain is nothing
- throwing phonebooks is usually NOT a good solution
- a disturbing amount of RRers think people don't like them cry
- I get very excited when I'm

  1. Next *&$%*& that throws a glass bottle at me while I'm riding will get his butt kicked.
  2. Waiting for goodies to ship from CA is a real patience tester
  3. Teenagers - beat them early and often

-That I did better on my A&P final than expected Mr. Green thumbs up
-I learned upon drinking after a two month hiatus of pretty hard training (for me anyway) that the hiatus or training has only made my very high alcohol tolerance higher Shocked (this is a bad sign, no? should I go ahead and get on the David Crosby liver transplant list???)
-That is hard to be a new person in my company and assimilate (we're pretty much trying as hard as we can to run our new guy off....)
-I really have some great friends who will always be there for me, despite months of no phone calls from me.
-That its never boring living on the Gulf Coast (I think my sister may have to evacuate! Shocked )

1. letting your teenager just be is frustrating and painful.

2. we have a very large population of Harley riders in this area. it's much better to be in the front of their pack than in the rear Shocked

3. the guy who drinks Budweiser while driving his BMW and then throws the can on the Chinese restaurant parking lot in front of your kids needs to be spit on. people like this are beyond a "talking to".

4. my short-haired cat is miserable in air conditioning.

5. i still suck at all video games. i've tried. i fail consistently. Pac-man still whoops me senseless.

6. i can still finish a book if i put my mind to it.

7. i have a deep desire to run a marathon. desire makes people do weird things.

I also learned that we have a new 'super swimsuit spinner' in the men's locker room at the Y. Just 10 seconds in the 'spinner' and your swimsuit is almost completely dry.

1) that I still hate heat and humidity as much as I did last week Evil or Very Mad
2) that if you wait long enough, airfares really do go down--I got a great fare to Ireland for my October trip!
3) that, while patience is a virtue, I am far from a virtuoso, but I'm learning
4) that faith really can move mountains and good things do come to those who wait (it's that patience thing again!)
5) that I really can stick to a conservative rehab plan and my head will not explode from frustration

I've learned that
o I can crunch budget numbers with the best of them
o I can put a new coat of nailpolish on and they look fresh at work the next day
o one hour of focused cleaning in the basement makes a heck of a difference
o when someone important to me thinks that I'm strong, I feel strong with conviction
