Posted: 11/21/03 - 12:08 Post subject: what have you learned THIS week? add your own smilies
I've learned:
- I am the world's worst taperer evah, but my friends, who are plentiful and wonderfully patient, will see me through it
- I really do look best in black
- RR mins, with few exceptions, prefer redheads
- my eye surgeon says my eyes are the best job he's ever done
- there is nothing, NOTHING, that can't be cured by a weekend with my best friend
Now. You. Go!

I've learned:
-- that the prospect of hanging out with my fellow Posseites makes me
-- that there really is something to this faith thing and it even works for nonbelievers
-- that the last two weeks of school always sucks..but then you're off for a month!
-- that I will get to start my internship a semester earlier than I thought!
-- that people don't always like it when you're honest, but that's life and those who really matter will stand by you anyway
-- that nothing makes me happier than a PM or email from a good buddy
-- that I really, really can't wait to move to Madison!

I've learned that some people think of me when they see a deer....
While others think of me when they're taking a dump.....
Maybe I should make my avatar a photo of a finely tapered deer turd?

I learned:
-That we're still hauling around boxes of crap from our first home. There's nothing that screams "throw me out" than a few spider infested boxes we have taking up space in the garage again. It's time that it goes...it's time that it goes... Note: These are not my items. Must once again show self control and not take matters into my own hands.
-That I'm not the only parent frustrated with Handwriting expectations of a 3rd grader
-That I need to get started on Xmas shopping
-That one box of crayons can make a little four year old sooooo happy. Why do middle children just love everything they get?
-That I can wean myself from Diet Coke.
-That I've got a mile dedicated just for me!

I learnt:
- Unexpected pictures of dislocated elbows kinda freak me out.
- Co-workers don't exactly share my love of Wu-Tang.

1(a). Ranger went to a Quaker school.
1(b). I didn't know the Quakers had schools.
1(c). Why do I always say "Amish" when I think "Quaker"? (I don't do this a lot)
2. I'm comfortable now using "fubby," but I don't know if I can get comfy using "evah." Nevah.
3. It will be good to have our son come back from Colorado tonight And, as it's also his birthday, Happy BD, Dave!
4. Having outlasted my fourth boss is a good feeling. But it makes me wonder, "Why am I still here?"

I learned:
That I can do grown up things in a grown up way. Lots of them. In one week.
That I can hear "I HATE YOU!" from my son and respond with "I'm not thrilled with you right now either!" and it will still be ok by bedtime.
There are people in PA who are excited about providing a birthday do-over for my son.
That my nine-year old still believes in Santa Claus. But shouldn't put his letters in his pants pockets.
Those folks at the Social Security Administration aren't a bunch of Ebeneezers.

- i learnt that pulling toys from the backroom before they hit the shelves so you can sell them on ebay is wrong but profitable.
- i learnt that rooting through toys is ok, as long as you put them back nicely so you don't make more work for the nice toy lady.
- i learnt that chapter 6 in math was a lot harder then we thought it actually was.
- i learnt that i do best in math when i study all night the night before, and get up early and do questions right up until half an hour beofre the exam.
- i learnt that i can't get 100 on everything, but i'm still always going to try to get everymark i can, and i need to accept the fact that business comm is going to drag down my GPA even though i still have a pretty decent mark
- i learnt that deep down i have a secret crush on the really smart girl in my class, but that it's only temporary until she opens her mouth to speak.
oh. and i'm off school for the next 9 days and that rocks my face off

This week I have learned:
Never enter an argument with idiots. You'll be dragged down to their level and then beaten with experience.

Too bad you also didn't learn respect for others. We practice that regularly here and are able to disagree and debate, for the most part, without getting rude.
