I learned that no matter how angry I am at my brother for shutting me out of his life, his baby's death has just cut me to the core. I didn't realize how much I wanted this baby for them. And how upset I am that they had to go through this: being excited about something so unexpected and then grieving for something so unexpected. I didn't realize how important this baby was to me. It spoke of second chances and that tomorrow might be good. She/he is now a light that will never shine here on earth, a smile that will never taste laughter, a cheek that won't feel the sunshine. I can only hope that God is providing these things for the little soul that is sitting with Him right now.

-that I have procrastinated way too long on cleaning out the kids' rooms and their closets. It has to get done!
-that it's so quiet around the house when Little Nolefan 1 goes back to school after Fall Break.
-that my idea of what is put "up high" and "out of reach" is really not. My son can climb to unbelievable heights. Note: Find.a.higher.spot.and.lock.everything.up
-that it's time to "Fall Back" for many of you.
-that I must have fallen off the face of the earth in some of my friend's minds. One of my closest ones STILL has not contacted me in two months. Sending a card did not even get me an email.

- that the black as death gothic store at the mall no longer intimidates me. in fact, i shop there. i like it in there. mr. Pin in the nose does not intimidate me. i conquered that fear. i shopped there. 
-that anyone who blows their horn behind me can light me up like a Christmas tree in less than 10 seconds. i need help here. 
-that i (we) will be hosting the dept. Christmas party at our house this year and that i desperately need a stand-in. anyone? 
-that ordering a "sweater dress" from a catalog is NOT a good idea, especially when you hold it up and find it to be a mere 3 inches in width  
-that catalogs that offer postage free returns are the good catalogs.

Changing vets at a inopportune time is bad, very bad.

I learnt this week that
- losing a wallet and replacing everything lost really sucks
- I passed my biochem midterm (though not by much)
- although this school year has not been turning out well for me, there's still hope
-the salmon are back to spawn

-Just when you think you're in the clear for a while, they announce a test next week in several classes.
-Being sick really does suck. I guess I already knew this.
-Winn Dixie has some amazing price gouging going on.
-Season 3 of the Simpsons is pretty disappointing thus far.
-I can skip 2 days of class and not miss anything important.
-Considering I've only used my math book twice, it definitely is not worth the $115 I spent on it.

You learned wrong, I tell you! The herring are not very happy about having their testes boiled, but I can assure you the salmon aren't complaining.
