I learned:
- no matter what I try to do to stay out of the family melodrama, I somehow always manage to get sucked back into it
- SIGHT IS GOOD! even if it has a ridiculous price tag
- the sales guy at work has it in for me, but my boss has my back
- I can do megamileage, but I should expect every muscle fiber to scream in complaint
- my SIL thinks I'm going to fork over one-quarter of the $400 for A SINGLE FAMILY PORTRAIT - she has a rude awakening as she is clearly insane
now. you. go.

- Still come down the stairs thinking "OK, Max, what have you done now?" (but don't worry, folks - it's OK - it's habit more than anything else)
- Our son, if properly motivated (i.e., female persuasion), can have his room clean enough where his floor can actually be seen.
- The whole aftermath of accidents - estimates, insurance contacts, etc. - is a real PITA.
- You all put up with those days where what's on my mind does not necessarily correspond to what appears in the posts. I hope to be that gracious to you when that happens.
- And it will.

I learned that I get real mad when Abby is restrained at the hospital.
I learned that a bunch of people really dig Abby
I learned that I am very torn between spending time with all my kids.

I learned that:
Other people really CAN see how brilliant my son is.
That said son can do simple algebraic equations. In his head.
Sometimes, I'm not flawed. The system is.
My house is a wreck because I'm happy most of the time.
Genie worries about cretins playing with her undawares when she goes on trips.
Elkid can tell how many fingers I'm holding up.

Yeah I think I've learned this also. The harder I work to catch up the more crap piles up on my desk.

I'm working on that behavior modification right now. My son's new rule (remember: he is only 4 yrs old) is that he can not watch tv, play outside, etc. unless his room is clean every morning. I'm an anal housekeeper!

I've learned that:
- I do like Will's teacher (didn't think I would) and that she thinks he's Uber-Smart. I already knew that.
- Scrabble with the kids is Big Fub, and Will loves it, even though he's still learning how to read/spell.
- I have come down with a cold. Stuffy/runny nose, very sore throat.
- 2 more presents for Jake and I'm done with my Christmas shopping!
- MIL and I are somewhat speaking again... I had to make the first move, but it's all good I guess. It takes as long as it takes to fix what is broken I guess.
- clorox cleaner is essential to a clean kitchen. And it still looks good, days after the deep cleaning.
- Still waiting on one final semester grade, but Theology (huge surprise here), PE, and Intro to Paralegal are A's. I will celebrate bigtime if I walk out of this semester w/ a 4.0.
- it's a lot of fun to play pitch-black-hide-and-go-seek with the kids. I almost broke my neck on the darkened staircase, but we had a good time last night. Our house is Uber-dark with all the lights off!!

- i learnt that accounting is a work period... not math. apparently i'm going home in an hour.
- i learnt that sometimes you just need to tell your girlfriend that she's driving you nuts, and that i'm too young to deal with emotional outburts that aren't called for.
- i also learnt that if she got on a bus and went away for forever, i would in fact miss her, and not know what to do.
- as a young man there will be far too many decisions for me to have to make, but you still need to try and not compromise your happiness, regardless of what others think.
- walmart costumes suck.
- buying a toy is more important the a costume, because you can keep the toy, the costume you only wear once (and it costs more).
- the new star wars game is out.
- a trip to the dominican republic is only 1000$, and my life calls for some adventure.

Slow week for me. I guess I learned that inside-out Reese's are as dangerous as they sound.
Oh, and I did learn how cool the entire region of South Central Kentucky can be when called on in a crisis, for a friend from college. It happened a few weeks ago but I just learned of it this week.

Becareful what you eat/drink! Went to Punta Cana in the spring and my BF and the other couple we went with were sick for most of the week. I didn't get it as bad as them (thank goodness!) Bring some of the pink stuff!
