1. I found an inexpensive place to run and training indoors for the winter - and it's only five minutes from the house!
2. There are some classy RRs (well, actually, all RRs are) who are following up on how we're doing sans puppy. Thank you - you know who you are. And for the rest of you, we're fine, thank you.
3. On the other hand, there are a few RRs coming to Chicago this weekend. If you can get past the wreckage (still around) from Tornado Alia, welcome! You won't know what hits you if you meet me (with JACKED UP in tow).
4. Going to be more color in the fall leaves than I thought. Which is always a good thing.

this week, i have learned:
my daughter looks very cute in a neon pink punk-style wig.
i look hideous in a neon pink punk-style wig.
i like painting my toenails black.
my 79 yo dad, who has been widowed for 18 months now, has a "companion" he refuses to tell me about. I couldn't be happier for him.

I learned:
-- that patience doesn't come easier to us just because we're grownups
-- that everything in my closet is hanging off me so it's off to the MALL this weekend
-- that my bestest friends really know how to cheer me up (sorry PH, I'll clean off the copier next time, I promise! )
-- that a sister doesn't necessarily have to be there from birth to still touch your heart and make you grateful for her presence in your life
-- that the FUBBIES rock my world, you guys are the greatest!!!!!
-- that it really is possible to let go and start over again no matter how many times you've been hurt before
-- that I still love this feature and look forward to it every single week, thanks elkid!

Somebody's bringing a camera right? | Of course. It makes the chances of extortion paying off that much more likely.

1. It's fun to finish the work week at 10 am on Wednesday.
2. It's fun staying home with Marcus.
3. The Chargers are worse than I thought last week.
4. The Cubbies still have a shot.
5. Sometimes I get too worked up about things, and always feel better the next day.

1. The car I've been driving for about 3 weeks has a 10 disk CD changer!
2. Learned how to work said CD changer.
3. Sales tax was $300 less than I thought they would be.
4. It's nice to take off work on Friday.
5. Lots of Riff Raffers eat pizza for breakfast.

| Did it take three weeks to find out it held 10 CDs, or that you had one in the car to begin with?

You all seem to have learned more than I did this week, and I am a full time student...
1. That I have patellarfemoral pain syndrome and ITBS in both knees.
2. That I am starting to get a little nervous about being able to do a marathon in 16 days with the above pain and with very little running lately (I've been cross training.)
3. That I have three tiny new second cousins, triplets born on Tuesday.

-That it stinks being sick and under the weather.
-That people who have let you down in the past can really change their ways and try to make a difference than before.
-That I'm not very confident in myself when it comes to looking for jobs outside the teaching world.
-I'm not very forgiving at times. I need to be.
-That I'll have to get up at the crack of dawn to watch FSU play Miami. The bars will be open by 8am
-That I'll miss baseball once it's over. It has kept me running a good long time on the treadmills at the gym.
