Always been there. That's the one part of Genesis that got edited out.

"It's Czechoslovakia! It's like going through Wisconsin." - Bill Murray, Stripes (quote may not be exact, but it's my wife's interpretation when she wants to make fun of my roots).

People here seem to be of a kinder gentler nature.

I first read that as kindergarten nature. I guess it's true either way.

I learned.....

-- that one of my bestest buddies just rolled into town this morning and I get to spend lots of time with her this weekend! Dancing Banana

-- that I really have no clue what the hell I want to do with the rest of my life and that really makes me feel like an aimless LOSAH cry

-- that I don't handle ambiguity well and it's very

-- that my friends still love me even though I am am aimless LOSAH pink love

-- that Riff Raffers are truly some of the coolest people on the planet (not like I didn't already know this, but it's nice to have it reinforced when you most need to thumbs up

-- that nothing fixes a sh*tty week like the prospect of a few beers with some of your bestest buddies (IS IT 5:00 YET?) cheers

And andy, stay strong...do not succomb to the evils of Mal-Wart!!

What's wrong with the evil empire ? Every once in a while people need to go to the dark side...

Yes, I am aware of the insidious nature of WalMart and its minions like Home Depot and Lowe's. I am aware of WalMart's: "funny things to do to keep from paying overtime" and its "how to discriminate without calling it discrimination"

All we can do is - fight to keep them from just coming in and being Wal Mart (See what VT did) and most of all - embarass the h#ll out of them for some of their corporate policies. BTW do you know why Wal Marts don't have a US flag out front ? Its corporate policy - the store manager would have to pay for it. Funny how that works with their "patriotic" image. They're patriotic to the almighty bottom line.

I'm pretty sure that there's a big ol flag out front of the local Wally World. I'll check later today just to make sure though.

I learned the following this week......

That I really can run 10 miles and not die.

That I will make a fine business partner.

That my hubby still after 25 years doesn't understand the concept of sorting the laundry.

That under no circumstances will my boys wear pink f*cking underwear(see above) Shocked

A hamster can fall from quite a distance and not get injured.
That there will always be someone to hold your hand when you are skeered.
