- 10M in the dark cold is much easier than 4M in the bright humid hot
- sometimes "extra spicy" = way too spicy
- without my friends and The Paramedic I would be NOTHING
- I am a lot stronger mentally, physically, emotionally, and psychologically than I'd thought
- OL and I both think the Beatles were highly overrated
And you?

I learned that it's ok if I miss a couple of runs, I'm not superman.
I learned that being a full time pe teacher is pretty fun! (no homework to correct!)
I learned alot of people's favorite swear words.
I learned that I too, can have freaky dreams.
I learned that some delusional people actually think the Beatles were overrated.

- Living in the Central Time Zone, it's much easier to adjust to Mountain Time (and back) than it is to Eastern Time.
- There are no State Police in the following states: Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, or Iowa.
- It would not have mattered where I had gone on vacation, it would have been hotter than all get-out.
- A lot of people seem to be worked up over some group called the Beatles. ("I seem to recall their juvenile caterwaulings..." - C. Montgomery Burns)

I've learned this week:
- Hubby wants to move to Houston
- Our best buddies are moving to Las Vegas in December
- Shelby is a Very Bad influence on Libby
- ants only need a crumb to congregate on my counter
- Jake doesn't like almond hersheys: "Nuts ah baaaah, ma!"
- I actually DO like a glass of red wine in the evening
- kids plastic hangers suck--break too easily
- Will is the male version of Pippi Longstocking--loves clothes that don't match one another
- Mary J. Blige sings my new favorite song, "Family Affair"
- I'm glad I don't let the kids watch MTV Video/Music Awards
- Mars is not visible to the nekkid eye when clouds are present. Bummed about that!
- F---wit is almost better than f---stick
- Being lit up like a christmas tree is bad
- Many RR's think that high heat + kids in school without a/c = not a bad thing
- Lastly, this is a very supportive group of people and I'm glad to be here.

That the best part of my day is seeing my daughter's face light up when I walk in the door.
When my wife gets really, really mad about something, it's best not to get in the way and to just let her blow off steam instead.
There are more monumentally stupid people working for the Social Security Administration than I originally estimated. Most should be prevented from procreating.
Drivers in Atlanta are getting worse every day.
I should call my grandfather more often.

I learned:
- it's okay that I'm a little tweaked. Some people like me that way.
- the Blues are VERY cool for a long run.
- my MIL is a BIG FAT BLABBERMOUTH
- there is a cool Alternative school in PA
- I could make a ton of money on Jeopardy
- My son has developed a conscience and CAN APOLOGIZE unprompted.
- Medicating my son sucks.
- Black leather makes even a skinny chick look fat.
- I can be grown up about getting things I don't like to do done.
- My car can stay clean for a week if I am vigilant.

I learned:
--living by myself is not going to be as bad as I thought
--I am a painting MACHINE!
--even ethical law can be fun with the right prof
--brownies made from scratch are way better than the mix kind
--I will never be able to stop the endless flow of to-do lists running through my head, but if I focus really hard I can grab a few items now and then and actually get them done
--and if I don't get them all done, which I never will, that's still OK
--I learned some great new uses for the f-word!

- that George Harrison was the under-rated Beatle
- that the senior citizens seem to know which bins in the produce department have the best fruit. Follow their lead
- that the marijuana of today is 20X more potent than the stuff of the 70s
- that the little pocket angel i dropped in his cargo pocket on the first day of high school wasn't thrown away or lost but has made it thru all five days in five different pairs of shorts without any prompting from me whatsoever.
- that i'm definitely earning my "pay" between the hours of 3PM and 9PM during the school year.
-that i don't think i'll ever feel complete when i'm not running consistently
