Posted: 11/10/02 - 15:45 Post subject: what do you want for christmas?
i'm undecided.
i used to want a computer for my room, but now i can't justify it (well i can, but not totally...). i really want a nice warm bathrobe like my parents have (the big fluffy towel things).
otherwise i was thinking about a nintendo gamecube (which i really don't actually need) so i could play NHL 2003, and have Mario Party 4 parties.
a tv has been mentioned (but my old one is pretty good), i don't really need a dvd player (i have a job i can buy one of those if i want). so what else?
other than that, i don't really need clothes right now. i don't know what i'd spend money on... it's like i'm just not in need of anything right now.?
and i'm really against wasting other peoples gifts. i hate feeling bad when someone buys me something i just won't use, and it's like well they just wasted $50 (i know it sounds like "just buy me something i like" but it's more like "i don't want to see you waste your money").
what are you guys asking for?

My B-day is also in Dec so I have to come up with more. The problem is I usually want things that are $20 or over $200 not much in between. So far the only thing I asked for is a TriathlonBag. A new carry all for equipment with lots of pockets. Probably a new wetsuit.
I keep getting asked if I want a PDA; but, can't really see me using it much. Also, the Timex GPS pace/distance watch is really cool but still expensive at $225.

My birthday is also in December, and my mom asked me this question when I was up in Indiana. Nothing. I have everything I need and I can't really justify my wants. Like a tri bike for $3100?

I don't know. I was asked this too. I don't "need" anything (well, maybe a good deal on another car) and I am pretty happy with everything. Another dog would be nice.

A new computer ( that is a long shot)
A scanner (to replace my broken one)
Tom Clancys new book
Stephen Kings new book
That is it so far. I have some bills and loans that need to be paid off if anyone has a winning lottery ticket they dont need.

I never have really enjoyed receiving gifts so it always takes my family like 20 phone calls and 50 emails for me to finally break down and give them some kinda half-assed wish list...So, of course, I couldn't even try to answer this question...
But I do know that I hate Christmas shopping. bah humbug, indeed.

Keith and I agreed this year no shopping for presents. We would just get something we both wanted for christmas. We decided on a big screen tv and a home theater system. Except with all the end of the year bills coming in it's not looking good. We will probably just get a DVD player.

The commerciality of the season has really gotten to me over the years. I don't like to shop, and I also have a hard time putting together a "wish list". Besides, the thing I want the most, you can't buy.
