So I was cooking dinner last night, and there was stuff spilled under the burner I was using that all of the sudden caught fire. I yelled for hubby that there was a fire and he ran in and we promptly put it out by stretching the little sink sprayer over and spraying water on it. Lots of smoke now, but crisis averted.

So I put the pan on a different burner and continue my quest to make dinner. I'm over away from the stove and start to hear the stuff now boiling over that I was cooking and I rush over to take it off the burner.....

Needless to say there was still water on the floor from the fire incident and my feet fly out from under me and I take a BIG tumble!!!! Actually one of my feet slides up under the stove and it stuck and the rest of me is on my butt now pretty hysterical. All I can think is my foot hurts like hell and I'm 8 months preggo and just took a big tumble! My poor hubby heard the noise and came rushing in and I thought was going to freak out thinking me or the baby was hurt. I was hysterically crying I think more from being freaked out than anything, falling like that is just not what you want to be doing in this condition!!!!!!!

Luckily I think I'm fine, other than the skin that's all missing from the top of my left foot as well as the huge swollen bruise and it hurts like crazy, and my rear where I fell....as if I haven't had enough tailbone/back/sciatic pain lately!!! LOL!

Going to the dr. anyway for a checkup today, so I'll make sure Boinger is fine. But just a scary experience!!!!!

I think maybe I need to just start staying in bed...or at least just order pizza for dinner! By the way, after all that, dinner once finally made really sucked which made the whole thing even worse!

Geez Molly glad your o.k.
I think Boinger would be fine anyway, all that amneotic (sp) fluid make for pretty good protection no? Still a little scary though, just take it easy Smile

Molly,
You be careful. Maybe you should stick with microwave cooking until the baby is born. Wink

That may be a good plan, although I'd probably figure out a way to get my belly stuck in the door or something!!!! Wink

Thanks for all the well wishes, I will try to keep injuries to a minimum for the next 6 weeks. Maybe these things are just preparing me for the joy of childbirth??? Shocked

That sounds like a big Ouch! and a scary experience, but if it's any consolation, I used to fall on the ice on a fairly regular basis with numbers 2 and 3 and they turned out just fine. I hurt like hell, but they were cushioned pretty well in there. At any rate, I think you should use this as a reason to avoid all cooking, cleaning and work in general until the baby is born.

A Triple Lutz during the third trimester is not as frowned upon as it used to be.
