My wife and I tried WW about a year and a half ago. In about 8 months I went from 205 (@5'9" Embarassed ) to 165 and my wife lost about 25lb herself. The two things WW is fantastic for is portion control and logging what you eat. If this can become a habitual part of the way you think about eating it makes a huge difference. Once you get a handle on what your daily caloric intake looks and feels like I found that I could slowly phase out the micro-managing of my diet that sticking to the WW program requires. Good luck!

You're about the only one who hasn't gained it back. Everyone I know that has ever done it is now bigger then they started out.

I know, no one believes me.

This couldn't have to do with any kind of running at all either, eh? Wink
Actually, I just gave up as much bad stuff as I could (junk food carbs). That is, unless I get a hold of a pan of brownies at 11pm at night. Then it's all null and void. However, I do maintain and watch it with the carbs when I'm not full into training for something. It's not something or a bandwagon everyone here is going to believe or jump on.

Y'all are more supportive than my own husband!

I feel like I can't say thank you enough.

On a side note concerning Atkins, been there, done that, lost weight, gained back more than lost, tried it a few more times and couldn't shed another pound, don't think I'll go there again. My husband is a strong advocate of it, even though he weighs 30 pounds more today than he did when he first tried the plan 2 years ago. He just keeps going back. I don't mean to sound like I'm doggin' anyone who does it, and I DO know two people in our area that have kept the weight off with it for at least two years now. You just have to stick if you're going to do it, and not everyone does/can do that. Everyone's got something that works for them.

I'm really love WW. It's one of the funnest ways to lose weight that there is, if there is such a thing...

I also lost a good deal of weight on WW. I like any program that doesn't restrict what you can or can't eat, just gives you a range of intake to stick to. Good luck.

I should add that since I started running much more regularly I now find myself hovering closer to the bottom end of my weight/height range and have to eat more.

That's the one hard thing, I really trained myself to be satisfied with smaller portions through WW but now I have to counter that and eat more than I want to.
