okay, so, I just have a ton of weight to lose, and apparently eating whatever I want as long as I run isn't making the scale move, so....

back to weight watchers online for what seems like the upteen-billionth time...

siiiiiggggghhhhh.....

actually, I'm not really depressed about it. I've done good two days in a row now and I'm ready to start shedding.

First day of week 3 on "couch to 5k" today, and very difficult, but mission accomplished. I am on my way.

That usually comes after at least 3-6 months of consistent training, usually around the 35 mpw area. You'll also have to have incorporated a weekly long run into your training program.

It won't happen like that until your body has been conditioned to run.

simple reduction of calories and everything in moderation with proper foods and exercise and soon you'll be stick thin. Don't expect to just lose weight due to running. i subscribe to the beleif that you want to do some weight training too, to add some muscle. the musce is what really burns off the fat so the more muscle the more fat burnt off, even when sleeping.

try to find and stick to a program that will allow cardio days and weight training days and recovery days. also i don't think you need to remove all of the bad foods but be aware of them and the amount of it you take in.
i found that by logging everything, water, coffee, snacks, meal components that you'd be shocked at what you actually consume.

good luck.

Good for you!!! I lost 75 lbs on WW...it can be done!!!

Portion control was the key to everything for me.

And the "I can eat whatever I want since I run..." really is a big fallacy. I gained weight Embarassed training for my marathon.

It's great to hear others' successes when you're trying to succeed yourself.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I'm ready!

I've found that a combination of consistent running and strength training is most effective in bringing the weight down...although I think I overdid it... Neutral
Anyways good luck in your quest!

Don't even ask what I did to shed my extra pounds two years ago? No one here believes that it works. Even though I've maintained my weight and haven't gained any of it back at all.
