A student enrolled in school today.
we have this week, and next monday left, and they just enrolled him today.
Living by the reservation you see some interesting things happen.
I guess it's better than letting him walk the streets.

That happened to me once. We moved and I finished the last week or two in a new school and a new class. It was kind of miserable and worthless. Think it was first grade.

I think the parents probably meant well. That way he wouldn't be "new" next year. It's hard being new no matter what.

you really have to wonder why parents would move with a week of school left....we get that a lot.....and a week before finals?.....wtf?

I know why we move like that...military. We moved with one month of school left a couple of years ago. But we didn't enroll our son when we got here. We just waited until the next year.

Yeah, sometimes it isn't really the choice of the parents to mess with the school year like that. I would have to think that there are schools that wouldn't require the student to attend only the last two weeks at a new school since there is no really learning going on at that point.

The policy at some schools is 30 days before the official last day and you still get promoted to the next grade.
