I am going to a Brownies Talent Night. Thirty 8-9 year old girls all showing off their talent. One of 'my' kids is doing impersonations (she does a mean Shaggy from Scooby-Doo) and the other is being gymnastic.

I'd invest in some good quality earplugs. Thirty shrieking 8-9 yr old girls would put be into a home.

I had a mother who took her daughter to a Hilary Duff concert say she couldn't hear the music for the 7,000 shrieking girls.
Actually, maybe that's not a bad thing......

I have a major beef with all these teenybopper stars who are short on talent and long on marketing. I play a lot of Alicia Keys and Joss Stone in the van after school to try to counteract the brainwashing of our children.
