What are you worried about, dread doing, or are just thinking about having to do in the near future?
I am going to have to have my yearly mammogram soon, and I will have to have people out to the house to quote me on new carpeting. Thinking aobut having to move the whole house to have carpet installed is stressing me.
Also, I've been asked by my first cousin to surrogate a pregnancy, and she needs my answer by the end of the month!

Yeah. And there's a lot more, but I don't want to be "boring".
What would you do if someone asked you to carry their child, Alan?

Well, my arms are stong enough to carry a child up to about 50 lbs for a decent amount of time. Jack weighs about 35 lbs and I can still carry him out of the car and into bed without much trouble.
Now, if I were a woman and somebody asked me to carry their child--well, I would most likely not be inclined to do so.

I see one of Abby's doctors this week that will likely give the formal diagnosis of mental retardation.
It is coming, just not looking forward to it.

Sorry about that, Joe. This sweetie's gonna conquer the world no matter what the docs say, just remember that. She's already been through more than most of us will ever come close to, and look at her go!

not to steal this from a sitcom or anything but in a way, wouldn't it be like giving you a puppy, and then taking it away 9 months later?

I honestly don't think I can, either. Only because I have asked a lot of my body in the last 3 years. Also, I've looked the subject up on the net & there is a lot of information available for "getting over it" emotionally. I've also asked a lot of my emotions in the last 3 years. This might be the undoing of me!
And yet how do you say no, when it's been put to you that they wouldn't have asked if there were any other way?!

Yes, that reminds me! Thank you!! Spring!! It's not too far away, actually! January will fly, and then it's just short February and some of March, right? Hope springs eternal.

Wow, talk about emotional blackmail .
My hub is scheduled for his 12 month post treatment CT scan later this week. It is a scary time but I'm also kind of excited as a clear scan at one year is a major milestone and bodes well for the future. Breathing in, breathing out, breathing in, breathing out......
