I bought skis on there for $400 last winter for $1200 skis.

Is that "The Golden Mile" as told to Allan Trengrove?
Herb was a local here and signed my copy. His wife has been suffering ill health latley and has since moved to Western Australia

yes, same story...but in the states it's just "Herb Elliot Story" vs "The Golden Mile" in UK
mine is signed "happy birthday, Bob and much love, from mom & dad
and stamped 75 cents

I saw a second hand copy without the dust cover, (good/fair condition) in Melbourne going for $25 AUS.
