My In-laws are in town and yesterday, we went out looking at houses to kill some time. You can get a really nice house around here for less than $500,000.

exactly. 
One of the houses we looked at had 2 shower heads in the same stall. Exacpt that shower heads didn't both point at the same person. It was two showers for 2 different people. Like a gym locker room.

I can't get over housing prices anymore. Just staying here in my house I feel its value going up.

Just for something to do, we used to go to all the open houses in a certain neighborhood. There isn't a house for less than a million dollars there. It was fun to see what they were like. Some of them were pretty awesome, and some of them didn't live up to their price tag. I liked to tell the real estate agents: "This just isn't what I'm looking for."

Depending on the year of the trailer you can get that for about $25K here WITH property (about a 1/2 acre)
