For you martial artists out there:
Did you notice a strong desire to beat the hell out of people that tick you off after you started studying your martial art that was not there before? Not that I'd act upon it, but I've noticed this in myself. Before, if someone made me mad, I'd have an overwhelming desire to talk through it and make them see the error of their ways. Now I just picture which kung fu technique I would use to make them feel the requisite amount of pain.
Does that make me scary?

I think most people go through that phase. You then reach a level of confidence in your skills that you don't have to get physical to control the situation. Physical threats are another matter.
