Pretty amazing dude:

Cox ran the 2000 Chicago Marathon in 2:13:54 and has yet to better that time. He has come under criticism for training too hard and not tapering enough before races. He was planning to run the New York City Marathon last month but backed out after learning he'd appear on "The Bachelorette."

Cox is planning to run a spring 2005 marathon. In a career twist, Cox said that while the marathon is still his primary pursuit, he will also begin training for a triathlon and hopes to one day race professionally at Ironman Hawaii.

"I think the No. 1 talent God gave me was a very durable body," he said. "The training load is something I can definitely handle. I believe I can be the best. I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't think I could."

Cox, who swam competitively in his early youth, said he was moved to explore triathlon after reading the book "Wild At Heart." Written by John Eldredge, the book implores people to pursue their passions.

That's pretty cool. Maybe he got the bachelorette out on a training run!

Howdya like this part...

Cox, who said he was paid "a little" for appearing in the show, said many of the bachelors couldn't believe he's a professional runner.

"They're like, 'I didn't even know people did that for a living.' I said, 'Yeah, there's a couple of us floating around.'"

That better be a round for elimination right there. If some of those guys are such dolts that don't realize distance running is professional sport with prize awards big enough to live off of, I say they should be off the show right there. meh

There were a few last night who were eliminated that very well could have said that. Including one from Kentucky. oh the shame

I heard he made it to the final 3, but then lost out when he had a race the day after he was to meet the girls parents and stunk up their house with a bad case of the pre-race 'trots'.

Monday night ABC at 8 CST. The first episode was last night but you didn't miss much, just basic intros to Jen the Bachelorette and barely each of the guys. For some hilarious reading, check out the Bachelorette section of abc.com. The bios of the guys are pretty hilarious...
