..as a practice. I love the whole idea of business and it seems fun to me, and I would like to run one of my own. I think that if I run a very small one right now, I can get the basics and make some mistakes. My mistakes will cost me a lot less if I get them over with now, when I'm not putting much money into it (because I can't).

Anyhow, does anyone have suggestions on how to get started? Oh and I'm very new to this (I'm 15), so please don't say it too complex lol. Thanks Very Happy

a) You can mow lawns. It's not glamourous, but it will pay the bills. My son has a friend that used to mow lanws in the neighborhood and eventually branched out into more landscaping. He's going to the community college part time to get more business knowledge and learn more about landscaping. He's making pretty good money right now.

b) web designer - sit at home and make money.

The kid down the street started mowing lawns - churches specifically when he was about 12 or 13. He was able to buy a beater truck when he was 16 or so and added clients all the time. Old people were especially good customers. He's 19 now and going part time to college and still doing landscape stuff - he bought a landscaping biz with his slightly older brother with all the money that he made. He drives a much nicer car AND truck than I...still lives at home... and is a genuinely nice kid.

Start mowing!

Oh... and in the winter put lights for the holidays for people.. charge $100 for 4-5 strands to put up after Thanksgiving and take down after New Years. There's a guy at work that does that... he makes a mint!

There was a kid in Maine who sat out on the street corner in his neighborhood before school with a wagon of coffee pots.

He made good money.

Hmm, lawns and driveways might work. I was planning on hooking people up with driveways to shovel, and take a percentage of what they got payed. So lets say they got $10 for the driveway, I'd take like $2 cause I hooked them up. I thought it would work but I only got about 4 people interested. Maybe I'll just do some myself, and save up for a snowblower, and get these for people to do some too. Thanks for all the advice!

That was some good middleman talk.... Here is my

Do not under any circumstance compromise education... Having money while being in school is good. I worked a job thru HS and college but never missed studiying.... A business means more responsibility and you might have to compromise on things sometime... Just be careful and dont let it lead to ditching school... Many of my friends did that and they arent as sucessful as the few of us who got to college.

Sounds good thanks. I plan on combining my intrest for business for my intrest with artifical intelligence. So...pretty much I want to start a business based on AI. Anyhow, that required a good education. Altough I do struggle with marks sometimes, it's usually because I don't put in the effort. Thats why this year I'm actually trying hard, going for an 85 average. If I'm not qualified enough, I'll still have my business experience and I'll be able to do something decent Smile
