I'm going to a training thing next week in Stowe, VT. No lie, the agenda is as follows:
8AM-12PM Training
12PM-1PM Lunch
1PM-5:30PM Skiing on Stowe Mountain
5:30PM-7PM Happy Hour
7PM Dinner
And this happens for TWO DAYS. Can you GET any better?????

I can indeed tell you that! Actually, lift tickets aren't completely paid, but there is a significant discount. But the lodge we're staying in is right on the mountain. SWEET.

The closest I came to that sort of situaiion I was sent to Annual Training with the National Guard to Los Angeles CA for a 12 day computer class. Stayed at the Embassy Suites, rental car and the weekend off !
Can't hold a candle to 1/2 day of training and time off for the rest.
To think when we held training events in the Army we'd have to stay in places like Fort Drum NY. Most of the day was training, most of the evening was sleep since the training would start ot 0700 and go to 1630.

We spent a week or so this summer renting out a cabin just south of Stowe (about five miles or so). You will truly enjoy!
