well, if you like Van Morrison, i think you will like his latest. If you don't like him, it aint gonna win you over. He continues to attract me with his almost marble-mouthed bluesy sound and awesome lyrics. He gets down and dirty on this one, more into the blues than his last one. Every other track on the CD is bashing fame and fortune; a message that fits well with his anti-spotlight nature, however, i'm always wondering if something specific happened to this guy along the way to make him perpetuate the "Goldfish Bowl" message.
any insight?
the instrumentals in this are awesome. who else could make a "washboard" sound good??
he is jazz, blues and a little funky in this one.
