ran the newly "certified "race course yesterday. they told us at the start line that the course has been short for the last few years so---this year it is exactly 3.1 miles and it is a tad longer than last years --- OH GREAT.

very cold day - in the 20s and a slight wind. sunny though. i wanted to finish in 25.00 minutes.

i finished in 25.30 (unofficially) which would be a best for me by 15 seconds. got first in my age group and left with a medal with the sweeeeeeest little turkey on it. think everyone else was cooking turkey yesterday.

Nice job RR, great job on the PR.

Must have been that lunch you had the day before that helped.

PR! Excellent!! You must be doing something right in the training! Pulling of 15-ticks is tremendous. And a turkey medal ta boot..now you're the envy of the forums:)

So I guess this proves my theory that the surest way to a PR is a nap the day/night before!! Wink
