$662 for floorboard and motor
a new belt is about $150...........yikes
(this is our old treadmill) 6 years old
newer treadmill is 2 years old and needs new belt already. Thank goodness for lifetime warranty of ALL parts.
old treadmill was only used at on weekends in fall (I won't run up north in deer hunting season--heck no) and winter. So we have to decide to just trash, repair, or replace.

it's a landice L7.
it won't be used much, so I'm thinking that I do have an elliptical at home that I never use (it's actually a elliptical/stairstep), I could haul that to the cabin. I'm just afraid I'll be stuck up there in some blizzard and go nuts without being able to run. And "no" jrjo....cross-country skiing will not replace running because I suk at it. (I'm sure he'll suggest snowshoes right about now )

Oh I don't know. Running up North during deer season might quicken your pace considerably.

Especially if you go out wearing brown and white!

I thought a Landice was supposed to last forever!? That's some serious cash to fix it. Couldn't you run outside with a bright orange jacket? My horses have bright orange blankets that they wear out in the pasture during deer hunting season
hijack - jrjo, I just got some Redfeather running snowshoes. Do I need anything else like poles or gaiters? /hijack

they claim that they do...so I'm glad my other one has a lifetime warranty, I'm getting that $150 belt for free!! Supposedly the treadmill industry banks on the idea that the treadmill will be used infrequently. I've become whimpy with cold weather and so has my husband, plus add a few friends, my son walking on it......and it better live up to a commercial grade.
running up north...not only deer-hunting, but my land is in bear territory. Whenever they capture a bear running around some city in Wisconsin they catch and release them near me. There's a bear club less than 2 miles from my land, so even running the roads would freak me out on weekends. Although, I have to admit I haven't seen one. The last time I was up there I found 3 piles of bear poo on the main road. So where there is bear hunting, there is lots of loose, anxious dogs.

Bears?!?! Hmmm, $600 doesn't seem like very much to fix that treadmill
