do treadmills "wear out" as in...do the decks become rigid over time and lose their cushion?
i have a 7 yo treadmill that's gotten daily use for nearly all 7 years, just wondering if i can justify buying a new one if the motor and structure is basically ok.

with my maintenance contract on mine, I got the belt replaced every year. If the motor is good, I say keep it. But if you want a new one, I am sure the cushioning is better and stuff. You could always keep the old one as a spare, or donate it to a local po po or fire company who may love to have the equipment.
