The ILs had us over for Sunday dinner (okay, they have us over EVERY Sunday for dinner), and she cooked what I'd like to call Thanksgiving warmup - Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash...oh, yes, it was good eats.

Can't wait. I've been at college for the past 2.5 months, so you can be sure I'm going to stuff myself. No more Ramen Noodles (j/k I don't actually eat those here)

I am not yet sure if we are going with turkey or capon yet (Most likely turkey, free range). However, we will have:

cranberry pecan stuffing
Oyster stuffing
Yukon gold and garlic mashed potato panckaes
Candied sweet potatoes with pecans
Fresh snap peas in a seasoned butter
home made honey wheat rolls
Vegetable relish tray for snacks, with baked brie and crackers
Cucumber salad
Spring greens salad
Gravy!
Blueberry pie a la mode
Creme Brulee
Gewurztraminer (The BEST win with turkey, IMO)
A medley of root vegetables such as turnip and brussels

I am pretty sure that should do it.

In cased you had not guessed, no one here is on Atkins.

I love Thansgiving.

I love a holiday that's focused almost, almost, entirely on preparing a feast with a fair amount of emphasis on the dessert.

stuffing and mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes and gravy are my favorites

Pies pies pies - dutch apple, pecan, pumpkin and a slither of coconut custard.
