I'm so excited, we leave for Colorado on Friday!!! It will be our first plane trip with Hayden, so hopefully all will go well. We'll be out there for a week at our family cabin in a little town near Pike's Peak. My parents, both brothers and their wives (both pregnant!) and my nephew. Plus, my Aunt and Uncle and other scattered relatives. We're having a family vacation and a memorial service for both of my grandparents that died in the last year and a half. We're spreading their ashes at our cabin (where they honeymooned). I'm excited to get out there again since it's been a few years.
So everyone be good and have a good week next week.
By the way, any tips on running in the high altitude??

I was just in that area last summer! Garden of the Gods looked like a great place to run to me (but I didn't get to) Running in the altitude is tough. I don't have any tips for ya tho. Ask Runner X.

Be prepared to not get very far while running at a high altitude. The Oxygen concentration is lower the higher up you go so your body has less to work with and you'll get out of breath much sooner.
About 10 years ago, I went from ATL (800 ft. above sea level) to a ski resort and I got winded just walking around and was light headed for a few days.

I went skiing in Feb and got winded walking on the flat surface from the door to the car... of course I live at an elevation of about 5 right now...
Have fun! Colorado is beautiful!

Thanks for the suggestions! I guess for sure I will just run a bit to get moving but not worry about how far or anything like that. My hubby said he remembered last time we were there feeling really dry and thirsty when he ran.
I can't wait to go...but I have a million things to do first!! Packing with a baby is a whole new ballgame!!!
