someone who felt it important and urgent enough to share this tidbit with the whole company via email just now wrote:
I thought everyone might like to know that Blockbuster corporation announced that as of January 1, 2005 there will no longer be late fees when you rent a movie or game. You will have a one-week grace period at no additional cost. From one week to 30 days you pay a modest restocking fee. After 30 days you buy the product at the normal price less the rental fee.

Good info, but....all employees? Wouldn't a sign on the break room fridge spread the message pretty quick?

Isn't a "modest restocking fee" the same as a late fee?

No. It's more like a handling/processing fee, not just a punitive one.

Does that make you feel better for not getting a bonus this year?

Does this mean they'll forget about the $9.44 I owe them? I think not.

yeah, see, no one at this company is even that nice.

the particular sender who I can guarantee doesn't know my name once stepped on my foot and didn't acknowledge it. not that I'm bitter.
