I was reading a book a few days ago that asserted that most of the epidemic hype was being forwarded by the diet products industry. It would stand to reason as it is a multi-billion dollar industry. Any time there is hue and cry about an issue I like to step back and look to see who would have the most to gain.

I can see how there would be truth in this....what is the name of the book?

I'm sorry about your health Airehead, it breaks my heart to hear what you are going through. Sad

I don't remember the title, but it was tucked between all the weight loss books at Barnes and Noble. It was fascinating reading--but of course, it had to be taken with a grain of salt as well. But, it was the only book of its kind on that shelf--so I found it pretty interesting.

On this topic, I recommend that everyone go and see Super Size Me. I found it both interesting and entertaining....sometimes pretty darn disgusting. Though not everyone may react the same way to one month of only fast food, it was bizare to see how his body reacted. Definitely made me want to go out and run around the block a couple million times! Surprised

, if ever there was a reason to .

Saw it tonight at the Maiden Alley Cinema. We haven't eaten at The Clown since we saw one of our cats reject a piece of McBurger several years ago. We've been cutting back on our restaurant use but this has compelled us to swear off restaurants unless it's a special occasion. Must. Stop. Drinking. Soda.
