That's about fifteen miles due north of us. Zion isn't exactly in the boonies, and I don't like the fact the media (especially here) is presenting it that way.
Especially nice that the mothers of these little girls will forever associate Mother's Day with this. Whoever did this deserves whatever they get, in this world and the next.

i heard about this on the morning news today and was aghast. who in the hell can do that to two adorable little girls like that.
the only good thing i can think id is Karma. it's gonna suck for that inhuman SOB when it catches them.

I used to spend all my summers in Zion, using my bike to ride all over town (and to Kenosha once).
There are a couple parks on the lake that are wooded, but there is a park on the north side of town off 19th street and Gabriel Avenue that I used to play in all the time. It's hella spooky and totally secluded in areas.

I hope there is a special level of hell for people who take advantage--IN ANY WAY of children, the elderly, or the handicapped.
God put us on this earth to watch out for those who can't take care of themselves. End of story.

Hmmm...as luck would have it, there is a special level of hell for people who kill their own children!! According to Dante, anyway.
As a traitor against family, Dante would likely find you in the deepest level of hell, Cocytus, where Satan himself resides.
Here's a special sneak preview: Satan's wings flap endlessly, producing cold winds that freeze the thick ice found in Cocytus. Satan's three mouths gush bloody foam as they chew on the three traitors, Judas, Brutus, and Cassius. Sinners bodies are frozen entirely in the ice, with only their faces out, and their eyes and mouths frozen shut.
A happy way to spend eternity, no?
