the one for Mederma ---- helps with stretch marks...yah, whatever.
anyway...the woman supposedly just had a baby and is pushing a baby jogger. The freaking thing comes on everytime I'm watching tv and on the treadmill. The woman is NOT a runner and it bugs the sh!t out of me. She is "prancing" pushing the jogger. I'm a toerunner and her form makes me look like I have my heels dug in. Plus...I'm sorry, she did not just have a baby!!!! I don't care how fit you are during pregnancy...there will be a jiggle in the trunk if you had a baby.
As a mother and a runner...I think they need a more believeable actress....I should write to the company!!!

Yeah, that's a bit ridiculous.
How about the commercial I saw last night? It was for a Toyota SUV. Their main selling point is its suspension. A woman is driving and putting on her makeup and does so perfectly, while a woman in another SUV had apparently done the same thing and her makeup is all over the place. You know, it's hard to put on lipstick when your shocks suck.
WTF? Um yeah, that's the message we want to be sending to women. Buy this SUV and your makeup will look great. I'm surprised they didn't have a light on the rearview mirror, so you could put on your evening makeup too.

Oooh. I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks for stuff like that on commercials. The other day I was driving Mr Aire crazy pointing out people's pronations as they walked. One guy walked great on his right foot, but his left pronated outward and rolled forward. Ok, so I feel a bit neurotic.

The actual message sounds like - Hey you can do all sorts of stuff in an SUV. Oh, and you can drive, too.
And why don't they have pimp mirrors any more? (the lighted ones in the sun visors) One of the minor disappointments with our Jeep.

you mean "primp" mirrors, don't you? HA! John and I both have Jeeps, and yes, I miss having those mirrors. Not an issue really though, since I'm driving most of the time anyway. I nevah put on makeup while driving. Now shaving my legs is a different matter altogether.

She got a car with the lighted mirrors in both visors. "Oh, it's got pimp mirrors?""What?""Pimps have stuff like this in their cars - something to help the car (look) cool, and them too."
I never asked how she knew about this....

I'm always annoyed with the one where the lady talks about having asthma...promoting asthma meds. Anyway...she then goes off in the commercial all peppy and shows how busy she is as a teacher...then a mother after work...and that she's got her asthma under control thanks to that med.
My beef?
1) No one looks that happy after a long day teaching children.
2) She looks too young to be coming home and greeting the children that run to her in the commercial.
3) Get that happy smirk off of you face lady! It's such a farse!
Now give me an asthmatic lady who has just had the day from hell...ready to pull her hair out after dealing with 150 juvenile delinquents at school...with her bratty kids who are screaming in the back of the mini van after driving home...again ready to pull her hair out...AND NO SMILE ON HER FACE!
Show me that she has her asthma under control and I just might believe it.
