Truck Carrying Lucky Charms Overturns On Highway
LAKE COUNTY, Ohio, 6:38 a.m. EDT October 1, 2003 - It wasn't a lucky morning for one truck driver Wednesday.
Traffic5000's Linda Dawson reported that A tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 90 westbound at state Route 306 in Lake County.
The driver suffered a seizure and overturned his truck carrying 26,000 pounds of Lucky Charms cereal. The driver is said to be OK.
The truck has been uprighted, but the mess is still on the roadway.
Motorists should expect a delay getting through the area. A 1-mile backup is being reported. Dawson said to use Johnnycake Ridge as an alternate route.
Police are investigating the accident.

mmmm....green stars, yellow moons, purple horseshoes..
I wonder how many fundamentalists let their kids eat that cereal never ONCE cluing in on all the PAGAN symbols their kids are exposed to. GASP!
Maybe we should have Thou Shalt Not Worship Idols Crisp or something. Lightly sweetened communion wafers with yellow cross marshmallows.

I think the folks at POST cereal are trying a new tactic to gain market share.

There's a rumor that the truck had to swerve to avoid Tony the Tiger and that this may have caused the accident.

Do you see the conspiracy here? Truck with LC overturns and you're asked to use "Joyhnnycake Ridge" Nothing bu a blatant attempt by Quaker to get you to use their cereal. (Whats a johnnycake ?)
BTW does this disruption of the Lucky charms "pipeline" mean higher prices at the shelf ? The oil refineries were saying the blackout of August 14 would increase gas prices, the cereal companies could also lay claim to a price increase

I would think that despite the pipeline disruption prices must remain competitive due to all the other cereals available. Lucky Charms just isn't sole source supplier here....

These two guys should have synchronized their watches and planned just a little better...Spilled Milk
| Quote: | PITTSFORD, Vermont (AP) -- Don't try telling trucker Stewart Devino there's no use crying over spilled milk.
Devino's tractor-trailer hauling 58,000 pounds of milk -- or 7,250 gallons -- went off the highway over the weekend, spilling its load on the road.

It is so weird to hear talk of Lake County (County I grew up in) and 306 (our stretch is about 10 minutes from the house).
We really should get a group together some Saturday of those who live fairly close or meet up for a race or something.
