5th grade that is. I'm sitting here waiting for them. I have a ton of stuff to do with them and they are late! all because whatever their classroom teacher is doing is way more important than anything I could have to do in a "fluff" class. (at least that's how we are viewed, library, gym, music, art, etc.)

There's a whole lot of doors to trick-or-treat on from one end of the school to the other, no?

Go to the 5th grade class room with a guitar and lead a show tunes sing-a-long. It's your time to deliver your curriculum.
Go to the Mountain Mohammed!
(Pick that one from the Hair score. Yeah, you know that one. That oughta do it!)

I still don't get how these jackasses get away with this!! Is there no basic structure or system in that school? You've got brat kids and rogue teachers, booger-pressers, pants-wetters, and the list goes on!! You should move to New York City and work with adults & music. These people are going to turn your hair gray!!

Yeah, our school has a Fall Festival that is acutally pretty cool.
Oh, and the finale of the day is a costume parade. It's all Halloween in the kids' minds.

Steve-- last year I had to pick up my kids early from school...they both threw tantrums that I yanked them from music class. This year, they have informed me that I will not ever pull them out of Art class
