involved in buying a car.
It should be a strictly emotionless exercise.
Backstory :: Wife's van blew a head gasket. Van is screwed. We're currently car shopping.

I seriously stress out over this right now. My van is paid for and I don't know how in the world I can budget in a new/new used car when the time comes.
Hopefully, I have a few more years before facing this...but it stresses me all the same.

$30 a month in car payments for 60 months, upgrade my cd player in the car to a 5 disc, and I want a $0 deductible for an extended service contract.

Heck, make it that way. Go to autotrader.com, plunk in the make, model, mileage, price, engine size, color, search radius and click, you'll have it right there. I've done it a few times. Works like a charm.

Am I the only person who LIKES test driving and shopping for cars? (Maybe it helps that I always used to bring either my dad or one of my male friends. It helps to have someone who really loves/knows cars and is good at haggling. As it turns out, the DH is quite accomplished in these departments as well.)
What are you looking at, PH?

I don't mind it because I would shop at a no haggle dealership (typically Saturn). The couple times we got a weird vibe from the salesman we just asked to work with someone else.
