my son wakes me at 2:30 -- there's something in my room and it's alive.
in his room, small light on, he shows me this thing "hanging" on his poster. it looks like a mouse  only there's no tail....
IS THAT A BAT??????? oh heck yeah. it's hands were clamped onto a NASCAR poster.
the trapping scene that followed was fairly uneventful. it's a good thing mr. was "in the house" cuz he was the trapper. he put a big cup over him and slid cardboard underneath him--it was flapping around in the cup
out the front door -- took off like a batouttahell.
why was he here? how and when did he come in?? did he poop while he was visiting? did he have friends "in the house"? will he come back? was he a vampire bat? 
bats are my friends. my mantra for the day.

That happened to my mom and dad when I was a kid. My mom had brought in a load of clothes from the clothesline, and put them in a chair to finish drying. A bat had been hiding in the legs of my dad's jeans! Later that night they heard it flying around in their room.
