I love, love, love bats!! They are too cool!
My best guess is it wasn't a vampire bat--those are mainly found in Central and South America. And even those don't feed on humans as a habit. They don't even suck all the blood out of an animal.
The bat you met is a great friend because it eats bugs and likes Nascar, apparently.
I'm sorry you had to go through that, though. I can imagine that it was a pretty stressful scenario figuring out it was a bat.

I was wondering if anyone would catch that. I had started to type just "possum", but I was sure I would get nailed for not using the correct form "opossum".
They are skanky animals too.

Bats are way better to have in a house than opossums. Please trust me. I've had both, and I'll take a bat any day.
