a half mile?
you can't run or bike a half mile.
you can stumble that far drunk in the dark.
akern - if you have really breathable clothing you don't stink as much, deoderant and antipersperant, and towel off when you get there. i don't stink, or at least no one else has told me yet.

I do run or walk it just not if I have to take my laptop.

I used to work about 8 miles from my house. Would have loved to ride the bike to work but two problems:
No showers at the site for cleaning up.
My return trip would have been at night on a fairly busy state highway.
Now I work about 15 miles away. Still no showers available.
