that I've cleaned the roller ball on this mouse in as many days. this time I hope I got it all, and it will start behaving as it should.

Once you go optical you'll nevah evah go back! (spoken as one who's cleaned many a mouse ball...)

 I really never noticed until I used it in Photoshop. The control on an optial mouse is so much better.

I went optical and got a bum one right out of the box. Back to my mouse balls.
Keltic, I just went thru this hassle. Mine had a build-up on a white bar on the very front of the mouse that was causing it to bind on the pad. I kept cleaning it internally and it wouldn't get any better and then noticed that and it's fast as can be.

So what we can summarize from reading this thread is that Riff Raff mins have issues with keeping their balls clean....

this is the school's computer and I won't be getting an optical mouse any time soon.
I had an optical mouse on my computer at the house where I lived with the stbx.
I want to upgrade my comp at home, but I really need a new monitor before I buy the optical mouse.
