Sunday, January 25th, 2004. I'm doing the half, and RLAG is planning on doing the same. Kattzoo said she would LOVE to come up for this as well. Anyone else in for either the half or the full?

I did the Vegas 1/2 three yrs ago and had a blast.
Get used to getting up early to get on the school busses to Jean NV as you run back towards the city.
Its a fun race my advice is to run in the middle and avoid the rocks on either side.

You gals should have used Priceline and BiddingForTravel.com to get super cheap Vegas rates for the nice strip hotels.

I did check Priceline; didn't find anything great. San Remo's on the strip (right across from the Grand) and is clean, safe, and super cheap. Saw no reason to spend double the money for a place to sleep and shower. I shall be running and having fun!
So final count: me, RLAG, and Noley. Christa - find a babysitter? You in?

Check out biddingfortravel.com
next time you want/need to use Priceline. Especially in a city like Vegas where there are thousands and thousands of hotel rooms.
I stayed in Vegas last Labor Day weekend and was able to get the Venetian for under $100 a night, which is approx. half of the listed rack rate thru Priceline (and BiddingForTravel.com assistance). I've seen many of the 3, 4, and 5 star Vegas hotels go for 1/2 - 2/3 off listed rates on Priceline if you are little patient. I can't recommend BiddingForTravel enough. Unless it's New Years Eve or around a major event, you will get some pretty damn good deals.

I used to live in Vegas, sonny - the way I see it, if you've been in one Vegas hotel, you've been in them all. Plus, for the amount we're there, I'd rather pay $45 a night rather than $100.
