Posted: 06/08/06 - 10:50 Post subject: suggestions for a cul-de-sac party?
I'm thinking about having a little party with the 5 (soon to be 6) families that live in our cul-de-sac.
Suggestions?
I mentioned it to one of them last night and he thought it sounded like a great idea.

Make it a bike ride and leave them in the dust.

I would let one of you're neighbors have the party, so at least people will show up.

We used to do these in Kentucky, so fun. Obviously grill. Obviously pot luck. Set up a volleyball net in the middle. If all the neighbors are in, no one will be driving in or out. Homemade ice cream is perfect for just such an occasion.

Don't include the word "sac" on the invitations.

It's been scientifically proven that using lawn darts leads directly to a Slip 'n' Slide.

After things have progressed for several hours, a game of "Hey, hold my beer and watch this!" could be productive.

Forgetting the wife beaters would be a major faux pas.
