My PR is 1:00.16 and would like to break the minute barrier before I die. That PR is at least 15 years old so I'm gonna need a lot of help. I ran a 5:06 mile last November, so I'm not in atrocious shape. I figure I need to do lots of 200s. Is that right?

Get out there, get warmed up and loose and burn one off to see where you're at right now. If you can do a mile in 5:06 you shouldn't be too far from breaking the 1 minute barrier in a 400. 200's and 100's help build speed for a 400 runner.

I would be doing some major 200, 400, and 600 repeats. Focusing a lot on the 200, with a 200 recovery.
