Are you there? Are you passed out on the floor?
How's it going, students? I got the heinous paper done and am looking at just two more finals, with decent space to study for both of them.
Please don't use the words "Tarasoff" or "patient privilege" or "duty to warn" around me. Ever.
Good luck, all.

I have the duty to warn you that the Tarasoff principle outweighs the patient privilege to privacy....

I have one class that ends next Monday. I had 3 things to do: an article analysis with presentation (did last night), group presentation on an educational topic that interests you (done, doing next week), and a movie critique (done, handing in next week). Yes, I had to watch an educational film (I chose Mr. Holland's Opus because I could recycle an old paper) and answer 5 of 10 distributed questions. Last night 2 groups gave their group presentations. One threw a New Year's Eve party, the other had a money game. I do not know what educational topics these discussed, but I did win Skittles and got a NYE hat and noisemaker. I also will be "self evaluating". I give myself an A simply for not killing the teacher for not teaching me anything.
The other class ends tomorrow. I have to show my portfolio, which has been done for over a year. Our final is at the Drafting Room where we shall discuss a little education, a lot of beer. Once these 2 are done I can restart the online classes I postponed due to life issues.
Yes, this is tough stuff. I pay out of pocket for the pleasure of said education.

Congrats on the paper. I'll do my best to never say those things to you, although I don't think I'll have to try to hard.
I have 2 heinous government papers due friday (anyone care to comment on political blogs and their influence on the 2004 presidential election? or whether tort reform is really reform? if so, please report to me with Turabian style endnotes asap...), 2 study group meetings before our nutrition test monday, 3 papers (all nutrition) due the following week and 4 finals. And a partridge in a pear tree.
I'm now understanding why taking 12 hours while working full time is considered 'challenging'. But the end is VERY near.

what is up with professors putting everything off to the last second? Its a huge problem for me this semester, poor pacing, particularly in my nutrition class. 4 exams and 3 papers in the last 4 weeks of school. WTF??

That's their job. But I don't feel sorry for you. After my F/T job+travel - 4 class courseload - monster tri training nightmare in the spring, I warned you not to take 4 classes. I. Told. You. So.

You could have told me to fly, it didn't matter, it wasn't a choice.

Lloyd Dobler: I got a question. If you guys know so much about women, how come you're here at like the Gas 'n' Sip on a Saturday night completely alone drinking beers with no women anywhere?
Joe: By choice, man! BY CHOICE!

Forget her. Diane Court is a show pony - what you need is a stallion. Walk with us and you walk tall.

It's officially hell week for me ...have 2 lab exams (1 yesterday, 1 tomorrow) and 4 papers due (one was due yesterday, 3 due Friday) although with the exception of 2 short ones, I'm pretty much on top of that. However it's my last week of classes. Finals start next week: I have Plant genetics on the 9th, gene regulation in development and developmental biology on 14th and 15th, and fish biology (12 noon) and virology (7 pm) on the 21st...

Last two weeks and counting here!!! (I remember that nasty T word from Ethical Law, Go...we had a big battle in my class about that one ) Two big papers, one due this week and one due the 13th, to write, plus a full write up on my intervention project due next week and a presentation on said intervention project due on the 16th and then I'm DONE! Still trying to figure out WTF I am going to do about my practicum in January, and whether I want to switch to a thesis-based program, thus adding another year to my schedule. Hanging on by a skinny thread but actually looking forward to these projects because they are all about stuff I am interested in/already doing research on!
Hang in there, everyone.....Christmas break is just over the horizon and then we're all FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

9 days until freedom. Still have 3 projects then 5 finals. Today was a biggie, with a project due and a test. The test was insane. No one did well. I'm just ready for it to be over.

i lucked out this semester and dont have any actual exams to take. all ive got is an literature search assignment due next fri and the rough draft of my thesis proposal is also due next fri.
i have a semi decent dent in the thesis, but its not very coherent. thats one of my main problems with writting. the lit search will be easy, im planning on doing that in the lab later this week.
